What is Time Line Therapy?

hypnosis, Paula Linkiewicz

Time Line Therapy is a part of NLP techniques. It was introduced in 1988 by Dr Tad James and Wyatt Woodsmall.

Time Line Therapy is one of the most powerful procedures for accelerating human change. It uses simple, easy, natural techniques, which allows you to release and eliminate unpleasant emotional feelings from memories of past events and to think positively. These procedures produce impressive results and help dramatically improve your personal growth and development.

Your "Time Line" is a visual representation of the way you store your life memories. Time Lines include all of your history, the emotions you felt during your memories and also your limiting and empowering decisions.

It is used to resolve significant events in your past, release negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt and understand the lessons from those events. You are then able to react freely to future situations without the emotional baggage of the past.

The Time Line Therapy process take place at the subconscious level and is so powerful that it allows you to change "inappropriate" programming in minutes rather than days, months or years.

What can Time Line Therapy help with?

negative emotions, go beyond illusion
  • eliminating unwanted negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear and guilt that may be limiting and producing negative behaviours and results
  • eliminating anxiety and fears of events situations that may occur in the future
  • eliminating depression by working on the negative thought strategies created to produce depression
  • eliminating limiting decisions and limiting beliefs
  • enabling success in weight loss, tension, stopping smoking, anorexia
  • and many other circumstances where the mind effects the body and/or results

What techniques Time Line Therapy uses?

limiting decisions, time line therapy
  • Let go of Negative Emotions from the past.
  • Let go of Limiting Decisions from the past.
  • Generate our future the way we want it.

These are the three major techniques that comprise Time Line Therapy. They are easy to do and make a significant change in a person's life.

Time Line Therapy™
techniques helps release negative emotions such as fear, anger, sadness and anxiety, by releasing these emotions from the memories that ‘feed’ them. This release enables you to react freely to future situations, without the emotional baggage of the past.

Limiting Decisions
Limiting decisions and beliefs prevent you from achieving your potential. These decisions and beliefs are the result of past experiences that very often continue limiting your life today. Time Line Therapy™ techniques allow you to leave these decisions and beliefs in the past where they belong and to learn from your experiences, giving new empowering alternatives.

Designing your future
When issues from the past are resolved, Time Line Therapy gives us a specific way of creating our future dreams and goals in a simple process. In this process you use our imagination to create a compelling future that is inspirational and creates the desired outcomes.

What is NLP?

NLP, Paula Linkiewicz

NLP is a short term goal-oriented and practical therapeutic approach to problem solving. Whatever problem you have, NLP can help.

NLP- Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an incredibly powerful discipline that enables people to unblock and/or change the way they behave. NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion (programmes).

By studying and learning from these relationships people can effectively transform the way they traditionally think and act, adopting new, far more successful models of behaviour.

Is NLP a psychotherapy?

Problem solving, emotional healing

NLP is associated with many alternative healing and emotional healing techniques that are proven to provide positive results.

It has been described as the next generation of psychology, although it is not formally recognised in the UK by the British Association of Psychology.

Traditional Freudian psychology and psychotherapy require longer time as the client tries to uncover unconscious processes which determine conscious behaviour. Thanks to its techniques, NLP explores feelings and behaviour around a specific issue quicker and helps to deal with them almost instantly.

What is the history of NLP?

John Grinder, Richard Bandle

The history of NLP is quite recent, as it began only 35 years ago. You may be familiar with the people who took part in the development and promotion of NLP. Some are still perfecting its techniques and run seminars.

John Grinder – originally assistant professor of linguistics at University of California.

Richard Bandler – originally student of psychology at University of California.

Fritz Perls – innovative psychotherapist and originator of the school of therapy known as Gestalt.

Virginia Satir – family therapist.

Milton Erickson – internationally acclaimed hypnotherapist.

Gregory Bateson – anthropologist and writer on systems theory and communication.

From these beginnings in the 1970 NLP developed in two complementary directions. Firstly as a means of discovering and using personal excellence, and secondly as a means of discovering and using the communications patterns of other people’s excellence.

NLP is often referred to as an art of science and personal excellence. Art because everyone brings their unique personality and style to what they do, and this can never be adequately explained in words or techniques. Science because there is a method and process behind achieving change and new outcomes. Personal excellence because it IS possible to do things so elegantly and effortlessly that it takes your breath away, and you are able to have more of that.

What are the benefits of NLP?

sadness, anxiety tratment

What happens during an NLP session?

NLP session, go beyond illusion

This session involves observing, listening and talking. There is no physical touch involved in an NLP treatment other than the touch of a knuckle in some of the techniques. A session starts with you sharing what changes you want and what problems you want to overcome.

I look and listen to the way that you think and access memories and help you re-pattern your thinking to achieve desired results by using variety of tools including emotional release work, guided imagery, breath work, association-dissociation techniques,Timeline therapy, Nlp modeling and many more!

As a NLP therapist I follow one of its principles stating that everyone has all the resources they need to make positive changes in their life. All techniques used are to help you discover these resources within yourself and use them so you can experience more choice in the way that you think.

You simply sit and relax and allow your mind to explore different thought processes while I work with you through the appropriate exercises.

Sometimes I give a little homework to help adjust to the changes made during your session and try out your new choices right away.

On a subsequent session you give your feedback of the changes and improvements you’ve noticed after your last treatment and when ready, move on to the next change you want to make. If you think it’s too simple, remember that NLP sessions emphasises finding solutions rather than analysing causes, adding choices, rather than taking these away.
